Why the vehicle is part of the price

When you describe a shipment in the estimate flow, you're really answering one question: what's the smallest vehicle that can carry this safely? Capacity you don't use is cost you don't need · and a vehicle that's too small turns into a second trip. Getting this one choice right is the simplest way to keep a quote honest in both directions.

The options, practically speaking

• Sedan.The default for most deliveries: documents, parcels, catering trays, anything that fits in a trunk and back seat. If you'd carry it in your own car, a sedan carries it here.
• SUV. The in-between: several boxes, awkward shapes, a load that needs a flat cargo floor but not a full van.
• Van.Bulk without extremes · stacked orders for a multi-stop run, a full event's worth of catering, retail stock moves, furniture that disassembles.
• Box truck. The big-and-bulky tier: appliances, assembled furniture, palletized loads, and anything a doorway measures twice.

Three rules of thumb

• Describe the load, not the vehicle. Dimensions, rough weight, and what the item is · an accurate description lets the platform match capacity correctly the first time.
• Count the total, not the item. Five sedan-sized boxes may add up to a van. For batched runs, size for everything on board at once.
• Think about the ends, not just the middle. A box truck carries more, but a sedan parks anywhere. If the drop-off is a downtown office, smaller can genuinely be faster.
